Usage :
1. To talk about a completed past action at a non- specific time
example : I have read that book before
2. It is used to express personal experience there is not a definite time given.
example : I have ever visited Surabaya.
3. To talk about something that began in the past and continues to the present.
example : I have studied in this school since last
June .

NARRATIVE TEXT

Narrative text is a kind of text to retell the story that past tense.

Purpose :

To entertain the reader with a story that deals with complications or problematic events which lead to a crisis and in turn finds a resolution.

The general structure of the narrative text :

Ø Orientation, it sets the scene and introduce the participants (it answer the question : who, what, when, and where).

Ø Complication, a crisis or a problem arises. It usually involves the main characters.

Ø Resolution, a solution to the problem (for better or worse). Main characters find a way to solve the problem.

PROCEDURE TEXT

Before we study about procedure text I will tell you about my expression

Pada susunan ini subyeknya setelah verb. V1 ditambah s/es.

Subyek tersebut adalah orang ketiga tunggal (he,she,it) bila diikuti verb 1, maka verb tersebut harus ditambah s/es.

Aturan penambahan adalah sebagai berikut.

We express it directly to him/her orraly or we can use letter or card by post also by short message service (SMS), e-mail, television, radio, and newspaper if he/she who got the trouble is far from us.
