GIVING INSTRUCTION

Giving instruction is an expression that is used another that other person does what we instruct or request.

Giving instruction are :

1. Command
2. Prohibition

Kinds of giving instruction :

1. We use as commanding word in the form of infinitive
(without to)

Example : Stand up !
Clean the write board !
2. We use be + noun/adjective/adverbs
Example :Be careful !
Be on time !
3. We use the word don’t + infinitive (without to)
Example :Don’t go anywhere !
Don’t touch me !
4. We use not + V-ing
Example :No smoking !
No parking !
5. We use word please at the beginning or at the end of an instruction to make it sounds more polite.

Example :Keep silent, please !
Sit down, please !

1. The tense used in giving instruction is “simple present”
